La Purisima Bakery 3 is a neighborhood bakery at 602 W Union Hills Dr Ste 4 in Phoenix, Arizona, serving customers looking for baked treats, cakes, and other prepared items. Its listed hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; it is closed on Monday. The bakery has a 4.6-star rating from 111 reviews. For local residents and visitors planning a stop, those details offer a useful starting point, while the customer experiences below give a more specific picture of what people have enjoyed and where expectations may differ.

Pan dulce is one of the treats customers mention. One visitor describes it as moist, pleasantly not too sweet, and worth coming in to try. Others have stopped by to choose an assortment of treats for Cinco de Mayo and praised the friendly greeting they received. These comments make La Purisima Bakery 3 a fitting option when you want to browse for something sweet, bring home a variety, or pick up baked goods for a seasonal gathering. Preferences vary, so if sweetness, texture, or a particular item matters to you, asking what is available that day can help guide your choice.

Cakes are another reason customers visit. One family ordered a graduation cake after showing the bakery a reference picture and was delighted that the finished design closely matched it. The cake was described as delicious, though a little dry, and the customer chose an option other than tres leches because some guests were lactose intolerant. Reviews of ready-made cakes are more mixed: one customer enjoyed a strawberry tres leches cake, while another reported dry cake and soggy cookies and felt the purchase was not worth the price. These differing accounts are a reminder to ask about cake styles, availability, and details before ordering, especially for a celebration.

Customers also mention tamales and a burrito, but feedback on those items is less uniformly positive. One reviewer felt the burrito did not match expectations, and another considered a dozen tamales expensive. If you are choosing La Purisima Bakery 3 for a group, a special occasion, or a first visit, checking current offerings and prices directly is a sensible way to make an informed decision. With its Phoenix location, early opening on most business days, pan dulce, treat assortments, and cakes that customers have ordered for celebrations, the bakery may suit people seeking local baked goods and a range of options to explore at their own pace.

I wanted to give this place another shot after my last experience, but unfortunately it didn’t improve. The first time, I ordered a burrito that was overpriced and honestly disappointing. It was basically a small flour tortilla with tamale filling inside. Not what I expected at all. This time I tried the menudo, and it was probably the saddest bowl I’ve had. It came without the basics no cilantro, no onion, no oregano, no limón. I can overlook not getting tortillas, but those toppings are standard and really make the dish. Without them, it just felt incomplete and not worth the price. To be fair, their service is great and the staff is friendly. Also, their pan dulce (pastries) are solid since they are a bakery. But if they want people to come in for authentic Mexican food, they really need to step up the quality and presentation of those items. Right now, for the price, it just doesn’t deliver

Ordered my daughter’s graduation cake from here and it turned out so good!! I showed them a picture of something similar, and they replicated it perfectly!! It was slightly dry, but was still delicious. I couldn’t do tres leches since a couple of us are lactose intolerant. Also bought some flavored empanadas that were yummy. I came in to order about 30 mins before close, and they gave me some tamales for free which was a kind gesture and they were also delicious! Will be back 😍😍😍

Went in for their Pan Dulse. It was yummy, moist and not very sweet. Wanted to order tamales 🫔 but $40 for a dozen seemed high to me.

Bought a tres leches strawberry (1/4 sheet cake) , the ones that are already made. I don't know if it was old the cookies were super soggy and the cake was really dry. It was my first time coming to this bakery. Honestly the cake was not worth $70 it was a ripe off. Maybe the cakes are better if you place an order head.
