About

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is listed on FindALoco in Oklahoma City, OK with address, phone, website, and map location. Common services and related keywords include General Hospital.

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is a general hospital at 4300 W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It serves people seeking hospital care in the area, as well as families helping a loved one navigate treatment. The available information highlights care experiences in several settings, including radiation oncology, the breast center, and the long-term acute care (LTAC) unit. With a broad range of needs represented in patient feedback, people considering a visit may want to contact the hospital directly to confirm which department can help and what to expect for their particular situation.

Some reviewers describe staff as welcoming and attentive, particularly during check-in, and say that a professional approach helped them feel more at ease. One patient praised Dr. Schutz and the radiation oncology staff for compassionate, personable care, noting that concerns were heard and treatment options were discussed. Another reviewer speaks positively about care at the breast center. These accounts offer specific examples of patients who felt listened to and supported; they are individual experiences, rather than a guarantee of what every patient will encounter.

Feedback is not uniformly positive. One family member’s account of a stay in the LTAC unit raises concerns about how often physical therapy was provided and about discharge planning. Other feedback describes difficulty getting a family member’s symptoms addressed before admission, with serious health needs identified during the hospital visit. Experiences shared online can reflect different units, circumstances, and points in a patient’s care, so it is useful to ask direct questions about a planned admission, treatment, rehabilitation, or discharge arrangements.

For patients and caregivers, clear communication can be an important part of choosing and navigating hospital care. Consider confirming the relevant department, asking who will coordinate treatment and follow-up, and discussing questions or concerns with the care team. Families supporting someone through a hospital stay may also want to ask about visiting, updates, and the next steps in care. The listed address is 4300 W Memorial Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73120; the available business information does not specify operating hours, so contact Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City for current details. The listing shows a 4.4 rating from 1,803 reviews, alongside a range of personal experiences.**

This review is for the LTAC unit only!! I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone. I recently had a loved one there for at least 4 weeks. The PT hardly ever worked with him until the week before he was supposed to DC to either a SWING bed or SNF. First the case manager told us the closest SWING bed was Watonga. Yes, that is the closest MERCY swing bed to his hometown but that that’s not the closest SWING bed to his family. How about we look for the patient, not MERCY. Then he didn’t meet the requirements because he had not been receiving therapy like he should have been. They never worked him to transfer to the bedside toilet. He would ask to walk but they would only do it if my mom requested. He laid in his urine unless my mom went and got the nurses. I could go on and on. Finally they were just going to kick him out and send him to Carnegie without my mom’s consent. If he had not gone to this facility, he would be a lot further with his rehab.

Dr. Schutz has been so compassionate, professional, and personable during my radiation treatment. I feel like she heard my concerns and she gave me the best treatment option. Her empathy is outstanding and so is all of the radiation oncology staff!

My family took my sister to mercy because we could not get any of the other hospitals to listen to her … mercy finally admitted her turns out she has cancer and her diabetes was crazy out of range ! Then we learn She was needing a blood transfusion we asked the nurse if we as family can donate so she can have fresh blood ! They kept telling us they don’t know what blood type she is … and there has to be a specific test and they don’t do that until i guess the patient is close to being dead ! Fast forward to 3 days my family was with her all day trying to advocate for her trying to get a blood test so we can get a donor . My family left the hospital at 5pm by 6 pm they gave her a blood transfusion!! They knew we was working with a blood bank but we needed to know her type 1st , They was waiting for my head strong family to leave ! She didnt get the fresh blood they gave her blood that we asked not too ! So if you put your loved one in this hospital never leave them alone !

I have never had a bad experience at this hospital, and the care at the breast center has always been top notch. This year's experience was a healthcare first for me. Around noon, my primary care physician messaged me on MyMercy saying it …
