Pandora Karaoke & Bar is a karaoke bar in San Francisco, CA that stands out for private karaoke rooms, lively decor, and a music setup that many guests describe as current and easy to enjoy. Located at 50 Mason St in the city’s busy downtown area, it has become a familiar option for locals and visitors looking for a group night out in San Francisco. With a 4.2 rating from 787 reviews, the venue draws attention for its combination of sing-along entertainment, flexible room atmosphere, and a social setting that works well for celebrations, casual hangouts, and after-work gatherings.
One of the biggest draws at Pandora Karaoke & Bar is the private-room experience. Reviewers often mention that the rooms are nice, adorable, and set up to make group singing feel more personal and fun. Guests also note that the music systems have an up-to-date song selection, which matters when people want familiar favorites as well as newer tracks. Another detail that helps define the experience is the adjustable room lighting, letting guests set the mood depending on whether the group wants something energetic, playful, or more relaxed. For birthdays, friend reunions, and team outings, that level of control can make the night feel a little more tailored.
Beyond the private rooms, the atmosphere comes through as chill, fun, and performance-friendly. Some visitors describe a crowd that is eager to watch the next act, giving the space an easygoing and participatory energy rather than a stiff or overly formal bar feel. That makes this San Francisco karaoke spot appealing for people who want more than background music; they want a place where singing is the main event. Groups of around ten people have also found the private rooms practical, especially when promotional pricing is available on certain nights, which can make a group outing feel more approachable.
At the same time, customer feedback suggests that experiences here can vary. While some reviewers praise the service as excellent, others report frustrations with slow reservation responses, difficulty reaching the business by phone, inconsistent staff interactions, and concerns about drink charges. A few reviews also raise serious concerns about lost or stolen personal items, which is important for potential guests to keep in mind. As with many busy nightlife venues, it may be wise to confirm reservation details in advance, review charges carefully, and keep belongings close during the visit.
For people searching for a karaoke bar in San Francisco, CA, Pandora Karaoke & Bar offers a recognizable mix of private-room singing, energetic group fun, and customizable ambiance. Its better-known strengths are the rooms, decor, lighting, and music selection, especially for groups that want a dedicated space to sing together. If you are planning a night out in San Francisco and want a karaoke-focused destination with a social, festive feel, this venue is one to consider, particularly if your priority is a fun room setup and a lively shared experience.

Sign in to reviewNice rooms and great service. Their music systems have pretty up to date music selection and is easy to use. You can set the lights to set the mood of the room. Service is excellent.
The room was adorable and that’s where the compliments stop. The staff was incredibly rude and couldn’t be bothered to even pay attention and when they did they acted as id it as a giant hassle. They ran out of diet in their fountain at 830 on a Friday. The machines were not user friendly. Thank goodness I have good friends to make it worth it.
It was a chill fun atmosphere with everyone eager to see the next act. Everyone who performed were great!
Honestly the place itself is fun, decor, rooms and systems are nice too, but the staff are sketchy, bartenders overcharge/inconsistently charge for the same drinks, and several of us had items like jackets, jewelry and car keys stolen from our reserved room or as we were upstairs. Not worth the trouble so highly recommended Taisho if you want to do karaoke.
Half off Monday and Tuesday deal on private rooms made this reasonably affordable for a group of ~10. Would have been pretty expensive on a full price night. I attempted to both call and email to make a reservation. Response times were slow, they never answered the phones, and they wanted a credit card number via email(!) to reserve a room. As it turns out, it wasn't really necessary to reserve for a Tuesday. The place was dead. The song library was very limited. I was expecting something with a larger library (e.g. KaraFun), but instead they had only a handful of songs from very popular artists, and generally did not even have any songs from less popular artists. If you just want to sing Billboard Top 40, this might be fine for you, but if you enjoy depth and breadth of song selection, you will find their library lacking. They did appear to have a number of non-english-language songs, but I can't comment on whether the non-english selection is any good. To add insult to injury, the song selection all has to happen via a single touchscreen on the wall. Although the televisions have a QR code that looks like it ought to allow you to browse the song list and enqueue songs from your phone, neither browsing songs nor controlling the queue from a phone works. So you're stuck standing off in a corner of the room poking at this tablet on the wall, trying to browse a very limited selection of songs to find one to sing.
