Plentea is a well-loved bubble tea store in San Francisco, CA, offering a convenient stop for locals, office workers, students, and visitors exploring downtown. Located at 341 Kearny St in the heart of the city, this shop has earned a strong reputation through steady customer praise and a 4.4 rating across more than a thousand reviews. For anyone searching for bubble tea in San Francisco that feels reliable, approachable, and easy to enjoy, Plentea stands out as a spot people return to when they want a drink that tastes balanced, refreshing, and consistently satisfying.
One of the clearest themes in customer feedback is the quality of the tea itself. Guests often mention drinks that are flavorful without being overly sweet, which matters to anyone who wants boba that still lets the tea shine through. Popular choices mentioned by customers include the Plantea, Passion Fruit Tea, Thai tea, Nutella Milk Tea with sea salt sprinkles, and grapefruit tea with sea salt crema. These drinks suggest a menu that moves between fruity, creamy, and richer dessert-style flavors while keeping the overall profile smooth and drinkable. Reviewers also appreciate being able to tailor sweetness, making Plentea a good fit for people who prefer lighter, more controlled flavor instead of sugar-heavy drinks.
The atmosphere at Plentea feels casual and practical, with enough seating for small groups and a service style that customers describe as quick and friendly. That makes it useful for several kinds of visits: a midday drink break, an after-dinner boba run, or a late-night craving when many other places have already closed. With hours running from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day, Plentea offers rare consistency in San Francisco, especially for people who want a dependable bubble tea option later in the evening. The combination of efficient service and a welcoming tone helps the shop feel easy to revisit, whether you are stopping by alone or with friends.
Another detail customers remember is the shop’s reusable glass bottle program, which adds a practical sustainability-minded touch to the experience. Reviews note that returning a bottle can earn a discount on a future drink, and collecting bottles can lead to a free drink. That small system gives regulars one more reason to come back while reflecting a more thoughtful approach to packaging. It is a simple feature, but one that helps Plentea feel distinct among bubble tea shops in San Francisco, CA.
For anyone looking for a dependable bubble tea store in San Francisco, Plentea offers the kind of experience that keeps people coming back: well-balanced tea, crowd-pleasing specialty drinks, late hours, and friendly service in a central location. Whether you are in the mood for a fruit tea with bright flavor, a creamy milk tea treat, or a quick evening boba stop downtown, Plentea fits naturally into the daily rhythm of the city.

Sign in to reviewI recently tried two drinks from this place – Plantea and Passion Fruit Tea – and honestly, both were so good! The Plantea had such a smooth and refreshing taste. You can tell they use good quality ingredients. It wasn’t too heavy or overly sweet, just nicely balanced and super enjoyable. The Passion Fruit Tea was my favorite though! The sugar level was just perfect – not too sweet, not too bland. It had that fresh, tangy kick that makes you want to keep sipping. They really got the sweetness level right. What I appreciated even more is their effort to reduce plastic waste here in California. Instead of the usual plastic cups, they served the drinks in reusable glass bottles — and at the same price as a regular cup! That’s such a thoughtful move, and it feels good to support a business that actually cares about the environment. Great taste, perfect sweetness, and eco-friendly too — definitely coming back again! 😊
We were craving boba tea late at night and found this spot open until 11 PM! My boyfriend tried a sample of the Thai tea first to make sure it wasn’t too sweet—and it blew our mind. It was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, exactly what we always been looking for. Bubble tea can sometimes be way too sugary, but not here. They had run out of tapioca pearls, so my boyfriend went with grass jelly instead, and honestly, it was the most delicious Thai tea I’ve ever had! Definitely will come back here again when we in SF!
Wonderful customer service. Delish drinks. Quick service. They provide their drinks in a glass container which you can save to redeem a new drink at 10% off. If you turn in 10 bottles, you get a free drink. I recommend going. Enough seats for 12 people.
I got the Nutella Milk Tea with sea salt sprinkles and… my soul left my body for a few minutes of bliss. Super tasty and affordable!
One of my go to's whenever I'm in the area! Highly recommend their grape fruit tea with sea salt crema (blueberry is my second choice)! The tea flavors here are better than the other boba shops. I still opt for 0% sugar, but y'all may want to go a little bit higher. Sustainability is one of their core values. They offer glass bottles at the same price. You can get 10% off your drink if you reuse it!
