Sign in to reviewI like that it feels unpretentious. The egg tart was okay, not the best but good enough. The curry chicken bun was surprisingly good, not amazing but surprisingly good. The Hong Kong milk tea was also good. Solid spot for a quick bite and bonus points for opening early.
Breakfast service stops at 11am. We got the breakfast combo E $9.50, which is beef porridge and soy sauce chow mein with a milk tea. The toisan 台山 fried rice was excellent. It was a lot of food already but we wanted to get the pineapple buns with a slice of butter. This is great if you are eating in the dining room since the pineapple bun comes straight out of the warm bun case. They provide a knife for you to slide that square of butter inside the bun yourself. Cash only and mandatory 15% tip if you are dining here.
3.5 stars. It's between okay to good. One of the curry dish was watery, not creamy. Taste of food was acceptable, but there are others that have better flavor.
If I lived in the area, I’d visit and get a chasiu bao (roast pork bun) and HK milk tea everyday. So fresh and so good!! Classic Chinese bakeries like these need to stay alive. Have a little patience and appreciation for this place, and you won’t regret going here. They have a lot of variety for you to bring to your next gathering! Can’t wait to return 🥰
total affordable food items, good selection of food and pastries. Just small that you may wait for seating.
