I’ve thought about coming here for a while and today my husband and I finally made time to pay Aubrey Rose Tea Room a visit. It’s situated in downtown La Mesa. There was an ample amount of street parking but I know it can be harder to find parking on a weekend. All the little details were so charming. The service was pleasant, I felt well taken care of. The food was delicious and the tea was very good! I especially liked their house blend. The lighting and ambience is elegant and cozy. I was happy we opted to have tea inside. It’s not very loud, it’s easy to have a conversation inside. They had tea already on the table when we got there (maybe because we were a bit late, but I’m not sure!) and we picked different pots to try as we finished each one. They brought a three tiered platter of food about 1/3 of the way through. We ordered mimosas as well because we were celebrating. I’d say it’s very fairly priced. I came here with my husband, but it seems like it would be a fun third date spot or even a good place to bring a slightly older child– 5 and up maybe? (I was glad we went while our toddler was in daycare) Overall we had a very positive tea experience, thanks!

We held our wedding reception at AubreyRose Tea Room, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. When I first started wedding planning, I had no idea they could do wedding receptions — and I’m so glad I reached out to ask, because it turned out to be the best decision. From the very first conversation, the owners (Missy and Heather) were incredible to work with. Their communication throughout the entire planning process was thoughtful, responsive, and reassuring. They welcomed us in to visit the space, patiently answered all of our questions, and walked us through layout options, menu accommodations, floral arrangements, music, and the overall flow. At every step, we felt heard and supported in what we wanted for our reception. One of the biggest surprises (and reliefs) was how reasonably priced AubreyRose was compared to other venues and vendors we considered. So much was already included — tables, chairs, décor, place settings, staff, music, florals, and day-of tea and food service — which meant we didn’t have to coordinate or pay for a long list of outside vendors. Aside from a few signs, a card basket, and favors, everything else we needed was provided, and it made planning feel calm and easy instead of overwhelming. On the day of the reception, everything ran seamlessly. The service was attentive and warm, the food was delicious, and the space was set up beautifully — intimate, elegant, and full of charm. Our guests absolutely loved the experience, especially the tea service. Many had never been to a tea room before and were delighted by how unique and special it felt, and we received so many compliments on both the service and the overall atmosphere. As the newlyweds, we so appreciated feeling like we could actually relax and enjoy our celebration with our family and friends. AubreyRose Tea Room is truly a hidden gem for couples looking for a unique, welcoming, and thoughtfully run wedding reception venue. If you’re hoping for a beautiful, stress-free experience with incredible value and heart behind it, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The atmosphere is cute and fun and a change from the norm. The tea is delicious. The soup, tea sandwiches and croissant that comes with your soup is delish. The sweets are alright .
