This is, hands down, my favorite bar this side of the Great Water (meaning the Bay). I have been a regular here for six years now, and absolutely adore the staff. I have never once seen them be rude to a single customer, and like real ones, they are more than happy for you to bring in outside food. Not drinks, though, obviously; please but drinks when you are here! The restaurant next door recently changed hands; there's a connecting door and the previous door would actually being your food to you in the bar, which was glorious. Haven't seen the new place do that yet, but I dunno what their plans are. The music selection here is wild! I routinely tell people to not even check the book you can access via the posted QR code, just ask for what you want to sing and they will probably have it. I know if what I speak, too! My favorite songs to sing are obscure punk songs, dirty cabaret songs no one else has ever heard, and nearly-lost-to-history songs from literally a hundred years ago. Some of my favorite nights are the nights when I hear three or four languages sung in the mix - I've heard English, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, Frebnch, Filipino, Gaelic, . . . The only drawback to the Bay is that they don't have an extensive collection of the pretentious Italian liquors I like to drink, but they DO have a couple I rarely find nowadays (like Galliano and Sambuca)! Come in the earlier hours and the slower days so you can chat with them and the regulars. We're all an absolute hoot and SO LOVING. Another is my favorite nights is holiday nights, when people being food to share and it just feels like a family party. There's even a regular who makes karaoke videos, if you somehow wanna sing a song the KjJ can't play for you. This is my home away from home and I love this place!

Our group of adults—all well over 40—had a terrible experience at Mint Karaoke. The man at the door was unbelievably rude from the start. One of our friends forgot their physical ID, but we had multiple other ways to verify age—and he still treated us with total disrespect. She had left and came back in with other proof. But he still handled it wrong. Instead of handling it professionally, he spoke to us like we were causing trouble, even saying “Don’t mess with me,” as if we were about to fight him. Completely unnecessary and uncalled for. It’s not what you say—it’s how you say it. We ended up leaving and had a much better time at the sushi bar next door—great vibes, friendly people—and then headed off to Pandora Karaoke where the staff actually knew how to treat customers right. Mint Karaoke? Never again. No experience is worth being spoken to like that.

This has been my go to karaoke spot since 1996 Many of the patrons have been going over 20 years. Staff are friendly, pour a stiff drink & stay for decades The KJ’s are all very sweet, unless u keep asking when u r up, 5 minutes after u put in your song The crowd is a delightful diverse eclectic group of humanity, All sizes, shapes, creeds, persuasions & we LOVE it I seem to always hear 1 or 2 songs I have never heard- NIGHTLY If u are solo or with a group, the Mint is welcoming to ALL!! A fun time breaks out nightly!!!! No singing skills required!! A patron once said not everyone can since but everyone can karaoke-there is a difference. desire is all that’s necessary!!

Good equipment for karaoke set up. It can be busy some days, found out there were 35 people ahead of me to sing one time. Also the online song list is outdated, the bar seems to have a similar amount of songs like the karaoke bar.
