Touro Infirmary LCMC Health is a general hospital at 1401 Foucher St in New Orleans, Louisiana. For people looking for hospital care in New Orleans, patient feedback describes experiences across several points of contact, including the emergency department, laboratory registration, blood draws, and hospital stays. The available information does not list current hours, so contact the hospital directly to confirm department availability and visit details before traveling. Its directory rating is 4.3 out of 5, based on 694 reviews; individual experiences vary, and a rating cannot predict the care a particular patient will receive.

Some reviewers describe staff members as courteous, approachable, and helpful with practical steps. One person who was unfamiliar with the building said staff gave clear directions to the lab, registration was quick and easy, and the check-in employee and phlebotomist were friendly. Another reviewer said they were seen in the emergency department in a timely manner and appreciated that the physician assistant explained follow-up care and activities to avoid. That account also praised an intake nurse and registration clerk. These comments may be useful to people who value clear guidance and attentive interactions while navigating an unfamiliar hospital.

Reviews also mention urgent and specialized care, including an emergency visit for chest pain and a family member’s vascular surgery. Experiences described are not uniformly positive: one reviewer reported difficulty reaching doctors and nurses and felt there was insufficient support after a relative’s surgery. Such feedback is important context for prospective patients and families, especially when planning follow-up, asking who will coordinate care, or seeking updates during a hospital stay. Reviews reflect individual circumstances rather than a guarantee of service quality or a substitute for discussing medical questions with a qualified clinician.

One reviewer expressed strong approval of the hospital’s maternity care, but a personal account should not be read as a promise that every birth or hospital stay will be the same. If you are considering Touro Infirmary LCMC Health for an emergency, a lab visit, a procedure, or maternity-related care, ask the relevant department about its services, preparation instructions, visiting arrangements, and follow-up process. Patients can also confirm which clinicians are involved and whom to contact with concerns. Located on Foucher Street in New Orleans, the hospital is an option for people seeking a general hospital in the area; contacting the facility directly is the best way to check current details and determine whether it fits your needs.

I had never been inside this specific hospital and wasn’t sure how to find the lab, but everyone was incredibly courteous and helpful and gave me clear directions. Registration was quick and easy, and the woman who checked me in was very friendly. The woman who drew my blood was wonderful. She was so kind and professional, and had me in and out quickly. I couldn’t even feel the needle—it was completely painless! The entire process took about 15 minutes from start to finish. It was such an easy, efficient, and pleasant experience!

Think long and hard before having vascular surgery at Touro. My uncle had this surgery in March and everything went downhill from there. Doctors were MIA. Nurses were MIA outside of a very FEW! And overall just a frustrating, negative experience with very little support (case worker MIA) and so on. Be prepared for problems. Do not leave your loved ones unattended bc they will need you to advocate for them. Weirdest thing is they kept saying my uncle was experiencing hospital delirium but had no problems letting him make important decisions that made their jobs easier I.e. refusing dialysis. So a delirious patient has decision making capacity?! Make it make sense.
